2019 Design Modification

In March of 2019, I was able to implement a new design that I had been trying to figure out for a few years. I'm so happy to have figured out how to make the braces easily adjustable - no more zip ties. I was inspired by rock climbing equipment which ultimately led me to the current adjustable feature. It was a figure eight shaped item used with the ropes. Now the brace can easily be adjusted to fit different shoes with varying lace hole positions. I have continued to make design changes from the beginning and will continue to do so. Because of this, I do always appreciate comments. I have also made some custom features at the request of the customer. One customization was to add a second layer of neoprene because the customer has very tender skin and ankle. I also make extra length cords for those with shoes sizes larger than a US Men's 12.5. I'm happy to try other suggestions if you have them. Freedom Walk AFO will always be looking at ways to improve it's products, especially because of the large number of reasons that cause drop foot and the differences among all the individual users.
